Description

These DNA probes identify the centromeric region of each chromosome. They are ideal for the detection of aneuploidy and polyploidy, dicentrics, tricentrics and other complex aberrations, as well as for general numerical chromosome analysis. All Cambio star*FISH© Chromosome Paint systems are carefully tested for their cytogenetic performance as in situ hybridisation probes They are tested for low background intensity and batch to batch consistency. Due to high demand we have just added Cy3-labelled pan-centromeric chromosome paints to the star*FISH© range.

Full experimental protocols are provided with each probe. The paints are available in both concentrated and 'ready-to-use' format. Storage at -20°C is recommended.

Please note:

For Probes labelled directly with FITC we strongly recommend the use of the FITC Amplification kit. This kit improves  the signal intensity  with the use of addtional antibodies.
