BENCHTOP DNA SYNTHESIS

 

  • Kilobaser is a benchtop DNA  and RNA synthesizer. It‘s designed to be operated by anyone, there‘s no
    special training needed
  • Our reagent cartridge holds reagents for
    150 DNA bases. It can be used for up to 2
    weeks after activation.
  • Each synthesis starts with our single-use
    Kilobaser microfluidic chip and ends with
    our DNA in a standard PCR-style 0.2 mL tube.
  • The very affordable price makes the Kilobaser
    instrument highly accessible for any lab.
  • Connect to the benchtop DNA synthesizer using
    any mobile or desktop device or use the screen
    provided.
  • To protect your data we ensured Kilobaser

MAKE FLUORESCENT DNA PROBES WITH KILOBASER

 

  • TaqMan dual-label probes anneal within a DNA region amplified by a specific set of primers. As the DNA
    polymerase extends from the primer and synthesizes the resulting strand, its 5’-3’ exonuclease activity
    cleaves the hybridized probe.
  • The quencher suppresses fluorescencevia the FRET mechanism. Degradation of the probe liberatesthe reporter dye, thus inactivating thequenching effect and allowing the fluorophore to emit light when excited by UV light.
  • Hence, fluorescence detected in the qPCR is directly proportional to the fluorophore released and the amount

HOW TO MAKE FLUORESCENT PROBES WITH KILOBASER

1  Have a Kilobaser in your lab?
 
If you don't have a Kilobaser yet, schedule an online demo right away and get a tailored offer.

2  Use FAM cartridge for 3' labeling
 
By combining the FAM cartridge with our standard chips you can make single labeled probes for e.g. FISH assays or LightCycler FRET donor probes.

3  Combine with BHQ-1 quencher chip for dual labeled probes
