PC Biotin NHS Ester can be used to conjugate a photocleavable Biotin tag post-synthesis. This conjugation can take place anywhere an amine is present, typically an amino-modified oligonucleotide or a protein. PC Biotin has a strong affinity for streptavidin and is often used to capture or immobilize a target. After photocleavage with 350 nm light, the primary amine is released.
