Maleimide NHS Ester (SMCC) is a dual reactive crosslinker that reacts,
first, with an amine-containing target and, subsequently, a free thiol
at neutral pH. These reactions occur post-synthesis and is excellent for
customers who want to avoid harsh deprotection conditions.

Summary:
Dual reactive molecule (maleimide and NHS) which can introduce maleimide through post-synthetic reaction with amino modifications at any position in an oligonucleotide
Advantages:
Does not require a 2nd deprotection scheme (like our phosphoramidite version)
Cyclohexane linker decreases the rate of maleimide hydrolysis
