Product Description:
ScriptGuard™ RNase Inhibitor effectively prevents the degradation of
RNA by eukaryotic RNase A, RNase B and RNase C, but does not inhibit
RNase 1, RNase H, RNase T1, RNase T2, RNase R or S1 Nuclease. Two factors, (1) a potent affinity for RNases (Ki ~10-14
M) and (2) a 1:1 binding ratio, ensure rapid RNase A, B and C
inhibition even when trace amounts of these enzymes are present.
ScriptGuard™ RNase Inhibitor is free of detectable RNase and DNase
activities and mammalian DNA. ScriptGuard™ does not interfere with most
commonly used enzymes and, therefore, it can be used in a wide variety
of applications, including cDNA synthesis and in vitro transcription and translation reactions.
