Expanding The Frontiers Of Double Stranded DNA Sizing Accuracy
BioMarker® products from BioVentures provide accurate sizing of dsDNA bands over different ranges (See accompanying charts*) with nine bands of equal ethidium bromide intensity. Pretreated to expose 5'OH groups, the markers are kinase ready, require no dephosphorylation, and offer stability at ambient temperatures. BioMarkers are optimal for determining size standards for gel electrophoresis, capillary electrophoresis, gel filtration chromatography and HPLC.
All BioMarker® products are evaluated for resolution intensity and background on agarose gels with ethidium bromide staining. They are designed to provide fully resolved bands for accuracy without ambiguity or comigration. Information sheets and assay kits in various configurations are available and complete with 6X tracking dye and protocols.
BioMarker® Low
BioMarker® Low is designed to identify a series of specific bands consisting of 1000; 700; 525; 500; 400; 300; 200; 100 and 50 base pairs.
Bands observed with BioMarker® Low are of equal intensity and unambiguous base number. This permits a more accurate determination of PCR product length than other markers. Compared against other PCR products of known sequence, BioMarker® Low has provided molecular weight determinations within 5 base pairs of their known values for products over the range of 1000-50 base pairs. Plots of Log10 bp versus migration distance are linear.

BioMarker® EXT contains linear double-stranded DNA bands of 2000; 1500; 1000; 700; 525; 500; 400; 300; 200; 100 and 50 base pairs.

BioMarker® EXT PLUS contains linear double stranded DNA bans of 2500; 2000; 1500; 1250; 1000; 700; 525; 500; 400; 300; 200; 100 and 50 base pairs.

BioMarker® 10KB
BioMarker® 10KB contains linear double stranded DNA bands of 1.0; 1.5; 2.0; 2.5; 3.0; 4.0; 5.0; 7.0 and 10 kilo bases (KB).
Plots of Log10 KB versus migration distance are linear.
