Enzymes for Molecular Biology

Enzymes for Molecular Biology

Check out our range of enzymes with unique properties such as salt-tolerant nucleases, heat-inactivated proteases and heat-inactived uracil-N-glycosylase which is ideal for removing contaminating DNA in RT-PCR.

The epicentreTM range of enzymes

The epicentreTM range of enzymes are essential components of the toolkits of many of the best molecular biology gurus today.  Cambio prides itself on supplying these unique enzymes in the UK, offering rapid, cost-effective delivery and first class customer service / technical support for over 30 years.  See also the Cambio cryophile heat-labile and salt-tolerant nucleases and other enzymes.

DNA nucleases

Baseline-ZERO™ DNase - effectively digest large or small dsDNA and ssDNA into mononucleotides using

Exonucleases I, II, and III have activities for digesting duplex DNA in a 3´ to 5´ direction from a nick, a blunt end, or 3´-recessed ends and producing stretches of ssDNA.

Plasmid-Safe™ ATP-Dependent DNase – for removal of contaminating bacterial chromosomal DNA from plasmid, cosmid, fosmid, and BAC prep.

RNA Nucleases

RNase A, RNase I and RNase R to remove unwanted single-stranded, double stranded or circular RNA from different sample types or reactions.

Hybridase™ Thermostable RNase H - for specific degradation of RNA in a DNA:RNA hybrid, without affecting DNA or unhybridized RNA, at higher reaction temperatures

Terminator™ 5´-Phosphate-Dependent Exonuclease - A processive 5´ to 3´ riboexonuclease that specifically digests RNA with 5´-monophosphate ends

Modifying Enzymes

Circligase enzymes  - catalyze the intramolecular ligation (i.e. circularization) of ssDNA templates.  Very useful for producing ssDNA templates for rolling-circle replication or rolling-circle transcription experiments. There are two versions available: - Circligase I and Circligase II – The key difference between the two is that the former is ATP-dependent and the latter is not.

Polymerases

T7 RNA polymerase – this optimized mutant form synthesises RNA in vitro using standard or modified dNTPs.

T7 R&D polymerase - for using both dNTPs and NTPs - ideal for making aptamers and very flexible with unusual bases.

Poly-(A) Polymerase Tailing Kit – add a poly-(A) tail to RNA in vitro.

Reverse Transcriptases

EpiScript™ RNase H- Reverse Transcriptase - Optimized reverse transcriptase system for the production of full-length cDNA. You can produce full-length cDNA with RNAse H- mutant and achieve higher specificity at elevated temperatures, up to 55°C.

RNase Inhibitors

RiboGuard™ RNase Inhibitor - Prevent RNA degradation and protect your precious samples with this high quality, effective RNase inhibitor. Inhibit RNase A, RNase B and RNase C.
