See the difference: Sharper, brighter, straighter bands!
SeeGreen™ nucleic acid stain is a new, safer alternative to the
traditional ethidium bromide stain for detecting nucleic acids in
agarose gels. It is as sensitive as ethidium bromide and can be used in
exactly the same way. SeeGreen™ is highly sensitive and compatible with
both blue light and UV illumination. In our experience, SeeGreen™ offers
greater sensitivity than GelGreen® or SYBR® dyes, resulting in visibly
sharper and brighter bands.
SeeGreen™ is non-carcinogenic and is significantly safer than
ethidium bromide as assessed by the Ames test. It may be visualized
using safe, blue light excitation in addition to UV. It is compatible
with blueGel™ , GELATO™, or blueBox™.
SeeGreen™ features:
- Non-carcinogenic alternative to ethidium bromide
- Excellent for in-gel staining
- Ultra-sensitive: 0.2 ng of DNA or 1 ng of total RNA
- Crisp bands with low background
- Compatible with safe blue light excitation
- 20,000X concentration: use as little as 1 μl per 20 ml agarose gel!
