CytoTest Fluorophores

CytoTest FISH probes are manufactured with genomic DNA obtained either from microdissected human chromosomes or cloned DNA fragments, depending on the probe type. The probes are labeled with the following fluorophores. The maximum peaks of excitation and emission wavelength for each dye and for DAPI (Dihydrochloride 4',6’ -Diamidino - 2 - phenylindole) counterstain are listed below. For optimal results, microscope filter sets must be selected which are compatible with the fluorescence of the probes.

Description

NTRK3 Break Apart FISH Probe Kit

The NTRK3 Break Apart FISH Probe Kit is designed to detect rearrangements in the human NTRK3 gene
located on chromosome band 15q25.3. In addition to revealing breaks, which can lead to translocation of parts
of the gene, inversion, or its fusion to other genes, the probe set can also be used to identify other NTRK3
aberrations such as deletions or amplifications. Rearrangements and abnormal expression of the NTRK3 gene
– also known as TRKC, GP145-TrkC or gp145(trkC) – has been observed in medulloblastoma, fibrosarcoma,
nephroma, some breast carcinoma subtypes and other malignancies.

LSP NTRK3 5’ FISH Probe covers the 5’ (start) portion of the NTRK3 gene and some adjacent genomic
sequences. LSP NTRK3 3‘ FISH Probe covers sequences at the 3’ (end) of the gene and some downstream sequences. The two probes are flanking sequences across the NTRK3 gene in which variable breakpoints have been observed.
