N3-Methyl-C (m3C) is a naturally occurring ribonucleoside that is mostly found in tRNA. Under physiological conditions, m3C is positively charged. Since the methylation is on the base pairing face, duplexes containing m3C have melting temperatures that are significantly disrupted.
Usage
- Coupling: Coupling: 15 minute coupling time recommended
- Deprotection: Deprotection: RNA Deprotection-see bulletin
Note: This product is not compatible with methylamine deprotection reagents such as AMA, EMAM, and methylamine gas.
