Cod UNG

 

Cod Uracil N-glycosylase (UNG) is a thermolabile enzyme from Atlantic cod (Gadus morhua) that catalyzes the removal of uracil bases from single-stranded or double-stranded DNA molecules, leaving an abasic site in the strand. The enzyme does not react with RNA.

  • Supplied at 1 U/µL
  • Optimal temperature range is 20-35 °C enabling 1-step RT-qPCR
  • Rapidly inactivated at 55 °C thus ensuring amplicon integrity during long-term storage
