Cancer antigen 125 is a glycoprotein expressed in coelomic epithelial
tissues, including the ovaries, kidney, and stomach. Elevated CA 125
levels are linked to many types of cancer and other conditions. CA-125
is elevated in ~80% of cases involving advanced epithelial ovarian
cancer. CA 125 measurement is currently used for diagnostic and
prognostic testing.
Aptamer was selected at Base Pair from a randomized 32-mer DNA library against the target protein protein. Proprietary methods were then used to select the aptamer.
