Glen UnySupport™ 1400
N-Methyl-succinimido[3,4-b]-7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-6-(4,4'-dimethoxytrityloxy)-5-succinoyl long chain alkylamino CPG
Glen UnySupport™ is a universal
support based on a conformationally preorganized molecule to accelerate
the dephosphorylation reaction. The N-phenyl version, developed at Isis
Pharmaceuticals as UnyLinker™, is available from several companies for
large scale oligonucleotide synthesis. Glen UnySupport™ is the N-methyl
version, which is preferred for high throughput oligonucleotide
synthesis since methylamine rather than aniline is formed on
deprotection. Higher angstrom universal supports are ideal for long
syntheses (>150 mer) and can be utilized with modifier
phosphoramidites for which 1400Å supports are not readily available.
