Heparan Sulfate Proteoglycan, HS, is an integral part
of the basement membrane. It is a large biomolecule with a molecular
mass >400 kDa composed of a core protein covalently bound to heparin
sulfate chains. It is a component of the extracellular matrix that binds
to fibroblast growth factors, vascular endothelial growth factor, VEGF,
and VEGF receptors through its sugar moiety. It acts as a docking
molecule for matrilysin, MMP-7, and other matrix metalloproteinases.
It
may be important in cell proliferation and differentiation. This aptamer
was selected by scientists at Base Pair Biotechnologies using
proprietary methods and murine sarcoma basement membrane Heparin Sulfate
Proteoglycan, Sigma Part No. H4777, as a target.
Target: Heparin Sulfate Proteoglycan
Target Species: murine
Target Type: protein
Affinity Constant (Kd): 7.3 nM
Default 3' Linker (Spacer) is 10T. Please submit a custom quote request for other options.
Aptamer was selected from a randomized 40-mer library against Heparan Sulfate. Proprietary methods were then used to select the aptamer.
